Nigeria Advertising Firm Appoints Osun Chief Whip As “Say No To COVID-19 Ambassador”

A Nigeria advertising firm has appointed the Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Tunde Olatunji as one of its “Say No to COVID-19 Ambassadors” to serve as a brand to create awareness and convey messages on the pandemic.

The letter adds that “the project is not limited to Osun as it covers all States in the Southwest of Nigeria, where images of those appointed as ambassadors for the project will be hoisted on billboards in strategic locations”.

Hon Olatunji as one of the individuals appointed as Ambassadors for the project is to represents Osun State.

A letter to the legislator, by the organisation reads, “your appointment is purely a public service in support of the global efforts toward fighting the COVID-19 pandemic by creating awareness and conveying messages in line with the W.H.O standards against coronavirus on billboards in strategic locations in Osun state.”

Your choice as a project ambassador is in recognition of your sterling performance in the public sector and your evident passion for quality service delivery.

Accepting the offer, the Osun Assembly Whip remarked that he accepted the offer in furtherance of his commitment to public service and good governance, which manifested not only in legislative activities, but other areas of public interest.

The Legislator who represents Ife North Constituency maintained all possible efforts should be deployed by residents of the state to achieve Zero COVID-19 status for the state and Nigeria.

Hon Olatunji also called on well meaning Osun residents to support the Gboyega Oyetola led administration in stopping the dreaded COVID-19 from further spreading to the state.

A billboard has since been installed around the MRS filling station in Ogo Oluwa, Gbongan Ibadan Expressway, Osogbo.

Within the last three weeks, the Osun Assembly Chief Whip has reached out to his constituents with sanitisers, soups, face masks,palliatives to cushion the impact of COVID-19, a dedicated special call number for rapid response and enlightenment, while he is presently promoting an Essay competition among students of tertiary institutions in the state to raise knowledge from the pandemic.
