Chinese Expatriate, Hausa Miners Clash At Osun Mining Site, Two Die
A Chinese expatriate, identified as Kuang Zhang, and a Hausa miner, Musa Abdullahi, have died at a mining site in Osun state.
The duo lost their lives during a fight that broke out at a mining site in Idoko village, in the Obokun Local Government Area of the state State.
It was learnt that the incident happened around 4.30 pm on Tuesday when a fight broke out between some Hausa labourers and Chinese miner.
Fear was said to have gripped indigenes of the village following the death of the duo as some were said to have fled their homes.
But the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Yemisi Opalola said peace has returned to the community.
Opalola made this known while confirming the death of the Chinese and Nigerian to our correspondent on the telephone on Thursday.
She said investigation was on to unravel what led to the fight.
According to her, the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
