Sequel to the Presidential nod that the approved Federal College of Education for Osun state should be sited in Iwo in Osun-west Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Adelere Oriolowo representing the Senatorial district has applauded the sportsmanship spirit and statesmanship character exhibited by the Honourable member representing Obokun/Oriade in the green Chamber, Hon Oluwole Oke despite losing out in his bid to have the school sitted in his constituency.

In a statement signed by his media aide Oluniyi Isamotu, Senator Oriolowo said he commended the spirit of courage, progressiveness and statesmanship character of Hon Oluwole Oke not minding the fierce battle between most of the federal lawmakers from the state for where the school would be sitted for which Iwo graciously got the Presidential approval eventually.

According to the statement, the Senator said, “We salute the spirit of statesmanship displayed by our Honourable rep. We hope our amiable distinguished Senator from the east will share the same gesture as well.”

While celebrating the statesmanship character of Hon Wole Oke, Senator Adelere Oriolowo enjoined his brother and amiable colleague from Osun-east, Senator Fadahunsi to take a cue from the sportsmanship spirit of Hon Wole Oke and accept God’s verdict over where the school has been eventually sitted by the Federal government.

Hon Wole Oke had in a Facebook post on 14th of May send a goodwill message via his social media account to the good people of Iwo and Osun-west Senatorial District for eventually winning the right to have the college at their end, while equally giving an appraisal for the depth of politics displayed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the “underground lobby” that the parliamentarians from Osun-west and Iwo federal constituency respectively engage in to finally get the winning right for the school to be sitted in their constituency.
