Tension in Wase as Tarok Youths Alleged Illegal Release of Shehu Jatau

There is a palpable tension in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State as Tarok youths are accusing the emirate council of Wase LGA of a secret plot conniving with one Shehu Jatau who was alleged of a criminal trespass against HRH, the Ponzhi Kadarko, Chief Lot Nden.

According to the spokesman of the group of concerned Tarok from Kadarko District, Mr Lohpon Garba told this medium that some of them are fingered and selected to be arrested by security personnel.

In a statement issued by the group, they alleged that they are setting traps to kill chief Lot Nden, the Ponzhi Kadarko of Wase Tarok Chiefdom, that they Masterminded the plan by instigating one Shehu to lie against the Ponzhi Odili that Ponzhi used him to kill people during Shehu killings that led to his arrest about one year ago.

However, based on the allegations masterminded against the Ponzhi Kadarko a cheap target by the security in charge of internal protection of Plateau state has arrested one Mr Nanmwa Shemak, the Ponzhi Odili allegedly collected Millions of Naira bribe from the Terrorist that killed over 300 innocent citizens of Plateau state.

Shehu who is a community leader in Kurmi Dampar of Taraba state, Nigeria today has allegedly become a lawless criminal who was arrested by Nigeria Army in Abuja in November 2019 is gradually making his way back to the community by allegedly bribing the police.

It was alleged that the Odili was arrested by the Plateau state Police Command but based on conspiracy with top leaders, they want to free Shehu Jatau and release him back to Wase LGA .

It was further alleged that one NSCDC officer is in Police custody since yesterday after promising that the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, that nothing will happen to the officer.

However, the Tarok youths expressed dissatisfaction with the manner innocent security personnel working with the Ponzhi Tarok in Wase LGA are dragged into believing the blowing lies concocted created to cause disaffection amongst peaceful communities.

The group explained the unfortunate role played by the commissioner of Police to detain one of the NSCDC officer attached to HRH Lot Nden, Mr Odili based on script played by Shehu Jatau without any concrete evidence to Shehu Jatau lies .

It was also gathered that the Nigerian army troops have arrested Shehu Jatau, a militia gang leader, and five of
his accomplices at a hotel in the central area of the federal capital territory, Abuja.

CityMirrorNews gathered that the Army Spokesman, Aminu Iliyasu, army operations media coordinator, while parading Shehu Jatau and his gang members said that they believed that the
suspects masterminds some kidnappings and robberies in the FCT.

According to a statement by the army preliminary investigations showed that the suspects were involved in a recent Plateau state crisis and moved to Abuja to resort to “kidnapping, extortion and unleashing unprecedented carnage on residents”.

The statement added that the troops also rescued seven kidnapped victims from bandits in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna state.

“A notorious Tarok militia gang leader, Shehu Jatau and five of his accomplices were trailed and arrested in a hotel in the Central Area, Abuja,” the statement read.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects were very active in the unfortunate Plateau crisis that caused the lives of citizens and destruction of properties worth billions of naira.

“However, with the return of peace in the state, the criminal gang resorted to kidnapping,extortion and unleashing unprecedented carnage on innocent residents.

“Furthermore, troops of 2 Battalion, while on a routine patrol between Polewire and Gayam villages in Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna State, rescued seven kidnapped victims from a group
of bandits.

They alleged that Nigeria Police, Plateau state command are planning to release the notorious Tarok Militia gang leader, Shehu Jatau whom the Nigeria Army arrested on 2/11/2019 in Abuja.

Shehu Jatau who was the mastermind of the Plateau crisis that claimed over 300 lives of Plateau citizens and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed, but today the security are working hard to distort his atrocities.

It was alleged that security operatives are about to compromise their function and a handsome bribe from some sponsors including retired General, Traditional father in Tarok land and the emirate are strongly sponsoring the Militia gang leader, Shehu Jatau.

As part of the plan to fast track the release of Shehu Jatau, the police intentionally arrested the Ponzhi Kadarko Odili and forced him to beg Ponzhi Kadarko whom Shehu Jatau killed his people to agree and compromise to ease Shehu release.

The police IPO, James Audu told the Ponzhi Odili that if he refused to compromise he was being threatened of his job before taking him to court for prosecution.

“We are calling on National Intelligent Agency (NIA) to take over the case from Police to avoid injury to Justice for such a high profile criminal”.

When the same Shehu was arrested one year ago now, the police is alleging that Ponzhi Odili led some attacks during his Genocide on Plateau people and killed his people.
