FCT Education Board Workers Worry Over Non Payment Of Salary
Some staff of the Federal Capital Territory Education Board are worried over the non payment of their salary since the beginning of the year.
Our reporter reliably gathered that the affected officers ranges from junior staff to Deputy Director status.
While some were paid lower than their normal salary, some have not been paid anything at all since January 2020.
The reasons for the non payment could not be ascertained, whether its administrative, punitive or fall out of the IPPIS system and no explanation has been offered to them inspite of their complaints.
Our source revealed that such development was happening for the first time in the FCT.
A student of University of Abuja, who simply gave his name as Michael confirmed to our reporter that his mother was affected in the non payment of salary palaver, a development making life difficult for them since the beginning of the year.
Michael appealed to concerned authorities to look into the issue urgently to safe many innocent families from suffering.
