Covid-19: Oyetola’s Wife Extends Humanitarian Support To Residents, Distributes Palliatives To Okada Riders

In her determination to complement the State Government’s effort to cushion the effects of Coronavirus pandemic in the State, Osun State first lady and President, Ilerioluwa Development Initiative has distributed palliatives, fuel and facemasks to association of motorcyclists and tricyclist in the state.
CityMirrorNews reports that the wife of the governor , Mrs Kafayat Oyetola had began the distribution of palliatives , facemasks and hand sanitizers to aged and vulnerable persons across all the local government areas in the state since the outbreak of the dreaded Coronavirus.
In continuation of her efforts to cushion the effect of the current economy and financial predicament among people occasioned by the virus, Mrs Oyetola distributed fuel, food items and facemasks to commercial motorcyclists in Iragbiji, Ede, Ikirun among other towns in the state respectively.
The food items distributed by the charity organization according to the Coordinator of the a sociopolitical group, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) in Osun , Comrade Tijani Sikiru, includes noodles, beans, rice among other.
Sikiru further said hundreds of residents and group of commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists known as OSCOMORON also received free fuel to support their businesses, while thousands of facemasks were also distributed across the major towns in Osun.
According to him, the gesture is part of the charitable agenda of the President of IleriOluwa Development Initiative, who is the FirstLady of the State, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola to help the masses, while the philanthropic gesture was aimed at extending helping hands to the vulnerable as part of the aims and object of the organization, especially to mitigate the harsh impact of Covid-19 global pandemic on the residents.
The Osun AGF Coordinator added that this is not the first time the organization would be reaching out to the people of Osun, saying Mrs Oyetola had earlier reached out to the aged and Vulnerable Persons across the nooks and crannies of the state.
Sikiru lauded Mrs Oyetola for her genuine love for motorcycle riders in the state, adding that as mother of the state the wife of the governor has never shied away from the welfare of residents of the state, especially during this trying period of COVID-19.
In his words, “We should thank the FirstLady of the State of Osun, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola who is the President of the IleriOluwa Development Initiative, for this humanitarian services to the people of Osun.
“The organization has been doing it to assist and rescue thousands of Osun residents, most especially at this critical time of Coronavirus global pandemic. About 350 beneficiaries were recording in both Iragbiji and Ikirun, about 200 benefited in Ede town, while thousands have received free facemasks.
The AGF Coordinator, however, enjoined the residents on the need to always adhere strictly and ensure full compliance with the government directives against Covid-19 deadly virus.
Appreciating the kind gesture on behalf of beneficiaries, the leadership of motorcyclists in Osun State, OSCOMORON gave kudos to the philanthropic gesture of IleriOluwa Development Initiative under the Osun State FirstLady, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola, adding that the government of Governor Oyetola will succeed beyond 2023.
