Genuine believers in God have been admonished to grow in grace and faith as these virtues are continuous gifts from God which must be well nurtured for those aspiring for eternity in heaven.

This was the message delivered by Rev. Bode Jegede, the General Overseer of Jesus Jewels in Ibadan, to mark the 50th wedding anniversary of Prophet and Pastor (Mrs) S.A and C.A Adegboyega who also clocked 75 and 73 years of age, respectively.

The three-in-one occasion namely the birthdays and 50 years of blissful marriage held at SPAC International Miracle Cathedral, Ibadan attracted dignitaries.

Rev. Jegede said that the grace of God was manifesting in the lives of the couple and their ministry, adding that this was so because of their great sacrifice to the work of God and to the lives of the vulnerable in the society.

“The righteous will definitely continue to flourish because grace is a continuous grace from God. Biblical characters like Samuel, David, and Daniel are beneficiaries of the grace of God. Daniel at age 20 found himself in a difficult situation but the grace of God made him triumph over his enemy,” Rev. Jegede said.

Jegede, a former lecturer of the Polytechnic Ibadan as well as a former lecturer of the SPAC Faith Academy declared that Prophet Adegboyega was a father to him because of his tremendous assistance to his ministry stressing, “No father, no growth!”

“His ministry is growing like a palm tree. In a palm tree, you cannot find anything that is useless. No doubt at 75 years and his wife at 73, both are radiant and flourishing like a palm tree,” he added.

The cleric who alluded to how Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG also benefitted from God’s grace concluded, “it is when you are in grace that you will never be disgraced.”

Pastor Yomi Okewumi, the Head of Department of SPAC Vanguard, an Evangelical arm of the Church Pastor showered encomiums on the couple who he disclosed approved scholarship scheme where over 75 students had benefitted, adding that without such assistance from the church many of the beneficiaries would have got their aspirations shattered.

Presenting their gift, Pastor Yomi prayed for long life and good health for the couple and renewed the pledge of the Vanguard Group to the ministry.

The programme which was strictly held in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines and anchored by Pastor Wole Dosumu of SPAC Abeokuta branch, had in attendance top leaders and pastors of the Church including, Pastor Samson Ajetunmobi, State chairman of PFN, Pastor Austin OLOGBESE, Elder Olusakin Babalola of the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT), among others.

The celebrants were in turn prayed for by the attendees who received prayers from the celebrant also, along with the admonition to avoid compromising their faith in Jesus Christ who is the only way to salvation.
