Osun Begins Daily School Classes On Radio For Students Under Lockdown

In order to help Osun State students in their academics during and after the Covid-19 lockdown period , the Osun Government in conjunction with OSBC has announced the commencement of daily school classes for Primary and Secondary School students in the state.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon Jamiu Olawumi and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, on Monday stated that the approval of on air education Programme was to compliment Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s efforts to take teaching and learning to lofty heights.

According to Olawumi, the school on air runs Monday through Friday on OSBC radio 104.5fm and Yoruba class on orisun 89.5fm and television and on www.osun.csm.ng

He said: The State government of Osun through the ministry of education has approved the commencement of on air education programme to compliment teaching and learning for effective delivery of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s electioneering promise to take teaching and learning to lofty heights.

“Consequently, school on air runs Monday through Friday on OSBC radio 104.5fm and Yoruba class on orisun 89.5fm and television and on www.osun.csm.ng

“It is important to stress that students shall have opportunities to visit the website to further attend the various classes to the session on radio and television to take assignment, submit assignment and obtain the mark scored instantly.

“Parents and guardians are encouraged to allow their wards access to their mobile phones in logging into their individual school websites already captured into the cloud system www.osun.csm.ng

“This announcement is to underscore the fact that both public and private schools had earlier subscribed to the provision of e-learning provided by the Gboyega Oyetola administration.
