Imo Assembly Speaker, Collins, Impeached

Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Chiji Collins, has been removed.

Collins was removed over allegations of financial impropriety, high handedness, and gross misconduct among others.

The impeachment letter was said to have been signed by 19 of 27 Assembly members at the plenary session on Friday.

With the development, Paul Emeziem from Onuimo Local Government has emerged the new Speaker of the Assembly.
