Int’l Youth Day: Osun First Lady Fecilitates With Youth In The State
Osun first lady and the president, IleriOluwa Development Initiatives, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has felicitated with youths in the State and Nigeria at large as today marks the international Youths day with the theme” Youth Engagement for Global Action”.
Mrs Oyetola said the youth engagement is enriching the local, national and global institutions political processes, adding that it also seeks to draw lessons with regards to how youth representation and participation in politics can be enhanced, especially for the purpose of responding to global challenges.
Wife of the Governor stressed that the international youth Day is to help spread the word and spike up a conversation surrounding youth engagement for global action as the youth has symbolic importance that can further contribute to the restoration of trust in public institutions among youth.
Mrs Oyetola reiterated that Nigeria and the world at large is experiencing COVID-19 pandemic and climate change which require concerted global actions and the meaningful engagement including participation of young people to address the menace effectively.
Wife of the Governor revealed that Nigerian Governors wives forum had reiterated its dedication towards advocating for laws and policies that will protect the young ones while pursuing effective Youth engagement global action.
