2022: Osun West APC’s Leaders Drum Support For Oyetola/Alabi Second Term Bid
….Call for cohesion, unity of purpose
A cross section of political leaders within the fold of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun West Senatorial District, has unanimously endorsed Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, and his deputy, Benedict Alabi, for second term in office.
The resolution was made recently at a meeting held in Iwo, to enunciate the giant strides of Oyetola -led administration and as well expressed their supports for the government.
The party stalwarts, during the meeting charged members of APC in Osun to imbibe the spirit of unity and oneness, as the 2022 gubernatorial election in the state draws near.
The coordinator of the group in the district, Hon. Leke Ogunsola, who doubles as the Chairman, Primary Health Care Board, urged members of the party to firmly hold their grounds in their respective Wards, Local governments, Federal Constituencies, Senatorial districts, and the state as a whole.
He said, “A significant achievement, among several giant strides this government has embarked upon in our zone is by bringing a Federal College of Education to our domain, this shows that this is a government that prioritises equality and fairness above any other considerations.
“As members of the ruling party with clear-cut ideology for development, I will implore everyone of us to work as good ambassadors of this great party with love and unity of purpose wherever we find ourselves.
“To our women, we urge you to vigorously campaign for our dear Governor, as he has done extremely well in the state. His dynamic style and enviable leadership style must be known in every nook and cranny of the state”.
Also speaking, Commissioner for Water Resources, Dr. Amidu Tadese, called for sustainable peace and unity amongst leaders and members of the party.
He added that unity amongst members would make the reelection of Governor Oyetola and his deputy more easier, considering what the government has been able to do in the state in terms of infrastructural development and purposeful governance.
In the same vein, the Special Assistant to the governor on Commerce, Mrs Christiana Ogunfolaju, charged members of the party to quickly settle any disagreement among them and continue to move in unison.
“Party Leaders, Women Leader, Youth Leaders, the work is in your hands, let’s work hard for the party without any rancour, and make the governor and his deputy to continue their good work for the upliftment of our dear state and for the good of all”, she said.
The meeting then lauded the level of loyalty and forthrightness displayed by one of their own, Mr. Benedict Alabi, the Deputy Governor, saying he is a dependable ally for the Governor, and a reliable political leader in the zone.

Bola Akinloye, former House of Assembly member, representing Olaoluwa State Constituency, Alhaji Asifat Olasunkanmi Omotuntun, former House of Assembly member, representing Irewole/ Isokan in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Awolola, Hon. Ajagbe Ojo, Hon. Amos Akindiya, Hon. S. Olawunmi among others .
