Amotekun: AGF Commends South West Governors, Asks Other Zones To Emulate It
A sociopolitical group, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) has commended the Governors of South western states for coming up with a security outfit that will complement the effort of Nigerian security agencies in combating criminals in the south west.
In a press statement signed by the National Coordinator of the Group, Adunni Olorungbebe Olateju and made available to CityMirorNews in Ijebu-Ijesa on Friday, the group insisted that the South west Governors have shown courage and determination in their effort to rid the region of criminals.
The Group however urged others Governors to emulate the south west in providing lasting solution to issue of insecurity across the country.
“The best way to end insecurity is for all the Governors in the country to emulate their south west counterparts and come up with their own local security arrangement that will complement the effort of our national security outfits,” Olateju said.
Olateju in the statement also, advised individuals that will be employed into the outfit to see their employment as a way of contributing their own quota to their nation as well as an opportunity to portray themselves as capable of doing the assignment given to them.
“The Amotekuns, should not see themselves as competitors with other security agencies but an agency for unity and development” Olateju concluded.
