Plateau Youths Group Denies Purpoted Petition against Etukudoh

Plateau youths under the aegis of Concerned Plateau Youths have denied the Purpoted petition against the Provost of the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology and Science in Jos, Dr. Sunday Etukudoh saying that the petition did not emanate from the group.
In a statement signed by the group’s Chairman and the Secretary, Comrades John James and Emmanuel Musa, which was sent to CityMirrorNews, the group’s said the allegations are baseless.
The group stated that it carried out a painstaking investigations on the allegations and found out that the allegations of corruption, maladministration and breach of trust were merely hearsay.
The statement read in part:
“After such purported petition was written and submitted to your good office, against the Provost of the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology and Science Jos, we carried out a painstaking and meticulous investigation on the allegations of maladministration, corruption and breach of trust, and found out that they were mere hearsay and unfounded.
“We want to state it here clearly sir, that the group of people that wrote the petition were totally misled and misinformed to raise such weighty allegations on the personality of the Provost who is working round the clock to take the institution to the higher height.”
On the alleged breach of constitutional provisions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the group said, “The nominal roll of the staff of the institution cut across all the states of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory. The assertion is nothing but the figment of the imaginations of the petitioners. We want to appeal to you sir,to use your good office and disregard the purported Petition from such amorphous body,instead of such frivolous petitions, all hands should be on deck to move the institution forward.”
The group noted that the management of the institution has been in constant dialogue with the host community, Traditional Rulers,state House of Assembly and other institutions in the state for effective service delivery.
The statement hinted that Plateau State Youth Council, which is the umbrella body of all the youths in the state, irrespective of any affiliation has also established a firm relationship with the school on the various ways of employment, empowerment and skills acquisitions.
“The salient achievements of the Provost are conspicuous and what he need at this moment is wise counsel, encouragement and guidance from members of the Public. The immeasurable commitments and Dedication of Dr. Etukudoh should be commended.”
On the issue of infrastructures, the group said that “the institution has since moved to her permanent site and all efforts are on top gear on daily basis to improve on it and meet up with global best practices.”
The group called on the public to give the provost adequate support to continue the good work and warned the petitioners to stop forthwith from such petitions and distractions while passing a vote of confidence on the leadership of the Provost and his management team.
