Speaking after the distribution of the hand sanitizers and face masks which was done in accordance with the NCDC guidelines, Lukman explained that the initiative is a critical intervention to contain the coronavirus pandemic by providing communities with free masks to protect themselves.

He said the gusture was to compliment the efforts of the Governor of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola in his bid to fight the deadly Coronavirus from spreading across the state.

Lukman who is the Youth Secretary, Boluwaduro Local Government said Governor Oyetola has done tremendously well in the fight against COVID-19.

He noted that if not for the proactiveness of the Governor whom he said had immediately swung into action after the outbreak of the disease in the country, it would have been another story.

He further explained that fight against COVID-19 is a collective responsibility, hence the need for all and sundry to contribute their quota by complementing government’s effort in the fight against dreaded virus.

Lukman therefore urged the people of the sleepy town and the entire residents of Osun to always maintain social distancing order and other precautionary measures put in place by the state government.

Appreciating the young promising politician on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mr Saheed Omokanye and Mr Kolapo Alabi commended Lukman for the laudable gusture.

They urged other politicians and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture.

Omokanye Alabi urged beneficiaries to make good use of the masks to protect themselves and community as a whole.
