A clergy man from the Baptish Convention, Rev Samuel Alabi, has lauded the efforts of Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun state in terms of infrastructural development.

Rev Alabi noted that since Oyetola assumed office, the state has experienced obvious turn around and the people have seen physical manifestation of the dividends of democracy.

According to him, there had been obvious improvements since the Oyetola administration took over in the state as all he has complained about in the past had been attended to without fuss.

Rev Alabi, who reiterated he belongs to no political party or affiliation in a Facebook post reiterated that, “I am not a politician but I am a citizen of Nigeria.

He further said: “I was against the government of the former Governor Rauf Aregbesola because he was louder than his work and I made my displeasure known constantly through social media. But I will be biased and possibly miserable if I fail to praise Governor Oyetola of Osun State.

“The last time I came to Ede in Osun State was exactly two years ago; March 2018. But coming to Ede today, I can say categorically that Governor Oyetola is working.

“I can see that government is working on the road network of the state. My parents were in the car with me and my mother who retired from the government in 2012 and could not receive her gratuity until Aregbesola left. But my mom confirmed that Governor Oyetola paid her gratuity last December. What Aregbesola could not do in eight years, Governor Oyetola has done in less than two years,” he said.

He urged the government not to rest on its oars as there is always room for development, adding that, “let me say that the government can do better. Please don’t stop your good work and your ending will be greater than your beginning.”
