International Youth Day: Oyetola To Hold Virtual Meeting With Osun Youths

International Youth Day is observed August 12 every year, to raise awareness about the challenges and problems faced by the youth and to celebrate the role of young women and men as essential partners in change across the world.

International Youth Day was first celebrated in 2000. On this day, several workshops and events were held to spread awareness and celebrate the youth of the world.

International Youth Day is celebrated to enhance the talents of the youngsters and to develop unity among the young people across the world.

OSUN DIGITAL MEDIA WEEK: OOPA Opens Portal For Free Award Voting

The day celebrates the youth-led organizations, Governments, young people, and others who are working to transform education and uplift young people worldwide.

In line with this, according to Commissioner for Youths and Sport, Hon Yemi Lawal, Osun state under the leadership of Mr Adegboyega Oyetola is joining the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s 2020 International youth day with the theme ;
“youth engagement for global action”

The sub themes to be discussed are –
*Youth and post covid-19 pandemic
*Youth and education
*Youth and agriculture
*Youth and entrepreneurial skills
*Youth and ICT
*Youth and Health
*Youth and Commerce, trade and investment
*Youth and Sports

The Executive Governor, His Excellency, Mr Gboyega Oyetola shall engage and interact with all youth via Social Media ( Zoom/Live Facebook) on this special day.
