School Reopening: We Have No Fears In Osun- Teachers

Teachers in Osun State have allayed fears of parents and guardians as schools are set to resume nationwide.

This is against the backdrop of the announcement of the reopening of schools by the Federal Government and the State Government in Osun.

Speaking to newsmen, the Principal, Ife-oluwa government middle school ll, Mrs M.T Adeoye appreciated the effort of the state government saying government did well with its resolve to reopen schools.

The principal, while responding to questions in her office on Friday said students and teachers have been clamouring for the reopening of schoosl to complete the preceeding session in other not to waste time.

She said:”the governor took proactive steps from the onset of the pandemic to curb the spread of the virus and that is the reason the number of confirmed cases in the state have not soared in recent times.

“Kudos to the Governor and his cabinet for their efforts saying that the government has provided necessary equipment like hand wash bucket, anti bacteria sanitizer and so on to prevent the spread of the novel virus.

“Since the JSS lll students resumed two weeks ago as well as students that are about to finish their WASSCE examinations resumed, there is no record of any case between the students and the teachers. If all students resume to school, we are going to adhere strictly to all precautionary measures, so their is no panic for us and our students.”

She advised the parents to give their children adequate care and provide for their needs to enable them excel in academics and other endeavour s.

“Parent should provide face masks for their children and whenever their children are not feeling well, they should take all necessary measures before they send them to school in order to save other students lives.”
