Ibadan To Host OAK Lecture Series, As He Launches Educational Support Initiative To Mark Birthday
Fresh FM’s On Air Personality and Head of Human Resources in Fresh FM Ibadan and Abeokuta branches, Olanrewaju Akeem Kareem, is organising a lecture to mark his birthday this year.
OAK, as Kareem is widely known, said he believes it is in the best interest of the members of the society to consciously push, mobilize and associate legitimately and legally to improve the society.
Hence, in a bid to improve the society and create an avenue for youths to achieve their dreams, thereby enhancing the general well-being of the society, Akeem Kareem has organized a lecture series and Educational Support Program to contribute to these laudable intentions.
The maiden edition of the lecture Titled “Revival or Reforms: Inflections and Introspections on the Emergent Integration in Yoruba Land” set to hold on Saturday, 21st day of March, 2020 by 11am at Yinka Ayefele Music house, Lagos/Ibadan Bypass,Challenge,
Ibadan.
The Guest Lecturer will be Alhaji Ahmed Raji (SAN), while the Keynote address will be delivered by His Excellency, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, the Oyo state Deputy Governor.
Also expected in attendance is former Oyo state Governor Otunba (Dr). Adebayo Alao Akala (JP), while other dignitaries include his childhood friend who is now the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport in the State of Osun, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, Honourable Shina Peller, Barrister Adeniyi Farinto,The Oyo state Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Vice Chancellor, LAUTECH Ogbomosho, Prof M.O Ologunde, Dr NureniAdeniran ,the Oyo SUBEB Chairman among other notable dignitaries.
The Educational Support Initiative is aimed at giving financial support to school children(boys and girls) to advance their educational pursuits so that they can be set on the path to achieve their dreams. In his words, “If everything I have attained in life can be attributed to my educational background, nothing is too small or big to support the education of indigent students in our society, we have quite a lot of them; very brilliant and intelligent ones but whose constraints is financial wherewithal, we will use the OAK Educational Support Initiative to give life to their future dreams and aspirations”, Kareem said.
The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso-trained mathematician turned OAP seeks the support of all and sundry to make his visions come to fruition.
