Osun: Alayegun Of Odeomu Joins His Ancestors
A traditional ruler of Odeomu, an ancient town in Ayedaade local government area of Osun State, the Alayegun of Odeomu, Oba Lamidi Oke is dead.
Oba Oke joined his ancestors on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
The monarch ascended the throne of his forefathers in 2012.
In a statement issued by Femi Adetunji, the National Secretary of the Odeomu Development Union and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo on Wednesday, the monarch died at the age of 95.
“On behalf of Odeomu Development Union (ODU) executive and the entire citizenry of Odeomu at home and in diaspora, I wish to announce the passing into glory of our Kabiyesi, the Alayegun of Odeomu, Oba Lamidi Oke.
“He passed on today at a ripe age of 95 years. May Allah grant his soul aljanah fidau aameen.”
Meanwhile, the statement disclosed that the remains of the monarch will be buried today, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10.00 am.”
