“Just about a week ago , we gave out hand sanitizers, nose and mouth covers and gloves to thousands of people and we ensure that there is constant sensitisation and update on what are the Dos and Don’ts at times like this.

“We have also followed that up with the Constituency Call Centre for people to make enquiries, at a time like this, when the state is on total lockdown. we needed to make sure that they are not cut off and the emergency centre had been responding to emergency needs too.

“The responsibility to help cushion the effects of these lockdown, therefore, falls on us, as leaders, and that is why I am here today to present these items to our people from one house to another.

“What we do is to identify those who are vulnerable in our communities. We gave them the food items regardless of Political affiliation and regardless of religious beliefs without discrimination.

“The pandemic is a challenge to humanity and it has no respect for primordial sentiments and we are very sure of this”, he said
