Osun NUJ: Vice Chairman Aspirant, Ajadosu Sets Agenda For The Union
A aspirant for office of vice chairman, Nigeria Union of journalists,Osun state council, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu has promised to use his age long experience in unionism and activism to take Osun NUJ to greater height.
Comrade Ajadosu who stated this in a chat with newsmen in osogbo noted that the Union would witness unprecedented transformation if given opportunity to serve in the office of vice chairman.
Comrade Ajadosu highlighted his agenda to include Rehabilitation of press centre for commercial purpose through private partnership for effective management of NUJ facilities and Resuscitation of IIJ programme as well as Intellectual engagement through periodic lecture as well as Converting part of the centre building for library for referencing and intellectual engagement.
The vice chairman aspirant noted that he intended to pursue his agenda through effective collaboration with the chairman of the union promised to canvases for insurance cover for members, Promotion of members welfare and Soliciting for in house training and professional workshops for members.
He assured the members of the Union of his readiness to use his vigour, zeal, charisma to take the union to the promised land and focus on programmes that would make the union becomes symbol of emulation in the country.
Comrade Ajadosu who have served the Union in various capacities as secretary of Gold Fm chapel and secretary of correspondents chapel hinted that at period the Union is in need of a man with capacity and intellectual sagacity to drive the Union to a new dawn.
He posited that the union deserved radical change at this period with a man who has a track record as students activist and he is resolute in his commitment to transformation of the Union.
The vice chairman hopeful called on members of the Union not to sacrifice competent, capacity and ability for parochial sentiment and vote for a man who understands the tenets, values and norms of unionism as well as positioning the Union for accelerated development.
