In 2020 Nigerians Must Have Attitudinal Change,Says Fadahunsi
The Senator representing Osun east senatorial district, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has said the only way to develop Nigeria in year 2020 is a change in how Nigerians do things.
“The need for a new approach is what can bring about a meaningful change for development and progress in our country,” he said.
This is contained in Fadahunsi’s new year message which was signed by his Special Adviser, media, Sam Progress, made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Tuesday.
The lawmaker said a total departure on how Nigerians do things in all sectors will lead to massive progress within a short period and that if we continue with the new attitude the anticipated positive change will be a reality
He urged the President to remove the Service Chiefs to allow for new and fresh ideas by new set of military officers, who will give new and fresh breathe to the armed forces.
The former customs boss also said the Customs service should not be left out in the security overhaul.” The army officer there has done the best his ability can deliver. President Buhari should allow trained officers of the Customs Service, who know the job better, to move the Service to the next level
“There is a limit a soldier can run the Customs. There are things he won’t understand because his background is to kill and defend, while trade facilitation is a core functions of the Customs.
“The border closure has caused more harm than good, hence the new nomenclature they adopt for the I’ll timed and unprepared policy”
On Agric and food security, the lawmaker called on the federal government as a matter of urgency, in the new year to take advantage of the lake chad region for farming, saying with the distance of about 200km from Gomboroigala to Maiduguri, using Lake Chad for farming will help to alleviate poverty and assist on food security.

“This government met over 4000MW and have claimed to have spent billions to reposition the sector, yet we generate less than what was on ground 4 years ago. So the handlers should be held responsible while new and competent ones are injected,” he said.
He also prayed for the President and encouraged all to pray for leadership so that they will do what is right and not what sycophants tells them.
The deputy chairman, senate committee on trade and investment urged Nigerians to also turn a new leaf of life by changing their lifestyle and adopting a more productive way of living
