“What I want to tell you is be determined, be honest and be hardworking.

“Be a good ambassadors of this institution and apply all you have learnt in this institution out there in the open world.

Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), in his own remarks at the occasion, congratulated Adeleke for establishing a world class university.

Rasheed also commended him for investing in education and giving scholarship to indigent students who would not have had the opportunity of learning in the four walls of a university

He likened Adeleke to Thomas Jefferson of America, who is a great believer in education , saying those given opportunity to study to become doctors, lawyers, engineers etc, would be the ones to build and develop Nigeria in the nearest future.

He said the university would be an enduring legacy of Adeleke, urging him not to relent, but invest more in human building capital.
