Why President Buhari deserves re-election– Osun APC Reps Candidate

The All Progressives Congress candidate for Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo Federal Constituency of Osun,Bukola Oyewo, has said President Muhammadu Buhari deserves re-election.

Oyewo stated this while speaking with newsmen at the Correspondents ‘ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ) in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

According to Oyewo, president’s sterling achievements in agriculture, security and social investment programmes were unprecedented.

He said: “The president had made direct impact in agriculture for a break-away revolution toward self-sufficiency and massive infrastructural interventions in road, rail system and power.

“His various policies on education and health had changed rot and inefficiency to effectiveness and service delivery.

“These are what every progressive and Nigerian citizen as a whole should key into and be ready to consolidate on for the prosperity of all.’’

On his political ambition, Oyegbile said if elected, he would grant financial support to local farmers in order to boost their businesses.

He also said that he would embark on periodic intervention and empowerment programmes for the youths.

On health, Oyegbile said he would ensure free and regular medical check-up for people in his constituency.

He also promised to award scholarship to students in his constituency.

He said: “I shall work hard to ensure that the next level agenda of our party is achieved and also make the needs of my people the top priority.’’

“I have at several points in my life shun juicy offers to remain with my people as I do derive my satisfaction, pleasure and inner joy from seeing my people happy. My foray into politics was informed by the these assertions and it has remained my driving force”, he resorted.

Oyewo further extolled his party for what he described as provision of better alternative and deviation from “maladministration of previous years through clear cut vision and mission to rebuild the fallen walls of our dear country.

He promised to change the face of Osogbo, the state capital through massive infrastructural development, saying the town accommodates 80 per cent of visitors coming into the state.

The APC candidate also pledged to eradicate poverty amongst his people through empowerment, and lobbying of appropriate quarters to influence job opportunities in favour of the people in his constituency, as well as investment in education, agriculture and health for the benefit of the constituents
