You’re Architect Of Modern Osun, AGF Eulogises Aregbesola At 62

A Socio-political group within the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun state, Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation (AGF), has congratulated the immediate past Governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on his 62nd birthday anniversary.

In a statement in Osogbo on Saturday by the group coordinators, Comrade Sikiru Tijanni ,and Comrade Olatunji Yahaya which was made available to newsmen described Aregbesola as a great political icon.

The group in a congratulatory message signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Sikiru Tijani and Secretary, Comrade Yahaya Olatunji, a copy which was made available to our Correspondent in Osogbo, on Saturday described Aregbesola as a great political icon.

They said the achievement of Aregbesola within the space of eight years cannot be underestimated, adding that he took the state to the greater heights even beyond the expectations of his ardent supporters.

AGF said there could not be a better time than now to identify with the former governor because of his indelible imprint in the development of the state.

According to AGF, Aregbesola is a visionary leader who thinks ahead of others on what could be beneficial to the highest percentage of the people.

The group further said Osun is blessed to have a political leader like Aregbesola as he wasn’t a pushover among the comity of governors during his tenure.

“Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola within the space eight years transformed the state even beyond the expectations of his ardent supporters despite the paucity of fund.

“Aregbesola could be better described as the architect of modern Osun. Look at the way he turned Osogbo railway station which had been abandoned as a refuse dumbing site and hide out of criminals to a recreational centre.

“He employed not less than 20, 000 youths within hundred days in office which later increased to about 60,000. Free meals for pupils in all the public primary schools, construction of roads across the nooks and crannies of the state, building of ultra modern class rooms among other laudable projects.

They therefore pray God to continue to promote, protect, guard and guide him.
