LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo Rewards Staff
PRESS RELEASE
Staff of Lautech Teaching Hospital, Osogbo have been admonished to add values to the hospital services because they will be assessed by both the management and the public by their contributions to the organization and not necessarily by their highfalutin qualifications.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Olawale Akeem Lasisi said this during a Commendation Award ceremony organized by the management of the hospital to appreciate some members of staff.
Professor Lasisi disclosed that those that were selected for recognition were critically assessed, painstakingly adjudged as having contributed their own quota to the development and efficient delivery of services in the hospital.
He admonished the staff further, saying the hospital’s staff should realize that many eyes are watching them from the sidelines and that those who perform their duties efficiently without being prompted will from time to time be recognized by the management of the hospital. The CMD, also, stated that the award is given to people who have contributed positively to the growth of the hospital.
While presenting the awards, Prof. Lasisi reviewed the criteria used in selecting the beneficiaries stating that the Awards were given to some of the staff who have contributed positively to the growth of the hospital since he came on board in the last four years. He urged other members of staff to keep trying until they are recognized for such awards.
While appreciating the management on behalf of other awardees, one of them, Prof.Victor Mabayoje, Head, IHVN Department, noted that the Commendation Awards is a positive development that will definitely impact on the services in the hospital. He then urged all the beneficiaries to work harder by serving as role models bringing to play more positive ideas into the hospital system.
Some twenty members of staff selected from different departments in the hospital were commended for their outstanding character, excellent work habits and selfless contributions towards the development of the hospital.
Thank You
