Christmas: Osun Deputy Chief Whip, Ogunkanmi Urges Citizens To Emulate Jesus Christ
The Osun State House Of Assembly Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi has congratulated Christians on the occasion of Christmas celebration, urging them to embrace peace in the society.
Ogunkanmi in his Christmas message on Tuesday noted that as an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, it should always spur Christians to radiate and let the brotherly love continue among them and other Nigerians.
The Lawmaker representing Ayedire state constituency harping on the need for peace and unity, called on everyone to be ambassadors of peace and reflect on the reason for the seasons as they celebrate.
According to him “Jesus Christ during his life time preached love, tolerance and service to humanity, hence the need for the Christians to replicate same for the progress our society.”
While wishing the Christian faithful and all Nigerians a merry Christmas, he pleaded with political leaders at all levels to have the fear of God and the love of people in their activities.
He also admonished all Christians across the state to use this season to pray for God’s guidance on the nation’s leaders on the right way of humility, fairness, selflessness and kindness for the peace and development of the country.
