62nd Birthday: Aregbesola Remains Best In Osun’s History-Oranmiyan

Members of the sociocultural organization in Nigeria, Oranmiyan worldwide, have joined other well wishers to congratulate immediate past Governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his 62nd birthday.

Oranmiyan in a congratulatory message signed by its Director General, Hon Olajide Sadiq, and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, on Friday said, ‘Aregbesola remains the best in Osun’s history’.

Sadiq who described Ogbeni Aregbesola as architect of modern Osun , said history would never forget the unprecedented development Aregbesola brought to the state within short period of eight years.

The Oranmiyan DG recounted that the Osun was in shamble before the inception of Aregbesola administration, saying “Our principal met Osun in bad shape and lifted it up to a greater height never expected by anybody.

“As a matter of fact, we are proud of our principal , he has made us to realise the fact that under this planet nothing is impossible to accomplish.

“The number one Oranmiyan, upon retrieving his mandate in the years 2010 swung into action and unveiled his six point integra action plan.

“His victory vis-à-vis doggedness and exemplary leadership spirit prevented the progressive party in Osun from going into permanent extinction.

“He has outperformed all governors before him as far as Osun state is concerned, and at no time in the history of the state has a governor attracted as much international attention as Aregbesola has done. There is no family in Osun that was not impacted by Aregbesola’s presence in government.

“All parents without exception with kids at school had their children’s school environment improved. Farmers had a field day as most of their fortunes improved.

“Employment of 20,000 youths who have been rooming around the streets for years within his 100 days in office which was later increased had endeared him to many youths who up till now praise signing him for this candid gesture.

” The symbol met the state school infrastructure in a dilapidated condition, but today Osun boasts of one of the best schools’ network in Nigeria.”

“Aregbesola out of passion he had for children and aged introduced the idea of free meals for pupils and monthly stipend for aged (Agba Osun), massive road construction, dredging of waterways to avert incident of floor as being experienced during the administration of PDP among other laudable achievements.

“He transformed Osun from a backward to a pace setting state, challenging some of the best in the country”, Sadiq said.

Sadiq declared that with eight years of exceptional governance in Osun state, former governor Aregbesola has indelibly imprinted his name in the history of Osun State, saying Osun people would never forget him.

“As you celebrate another addition to your number of years on the earth today, we pray Almighty Allah to continue to protect you and your family. You shall continue to soar in sound health and enormous wealth”.
