Screening of Commissioner Nominees Continues at the Plateau Asembly

Screening of the Commissioner-Nominees continued today, Monday, at the Plateau State House of Assembly in Jos, Plateau State capital.
The exercise which saw eight (8) nominees screened witnessed about a half of them taking a bow as a result of their former membership of the Assembly.
While addressing the media after the screening, a former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member, Hon Abe Aku expressed his satisfaction as to how the screening went saying that the nomination is a call to serve the state.
Answering questions bordering on his membership of PDP, Aku said that the state governor, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong called him in January and asked him to join him in the ruling All Progressves Congress, APC.
He said that they were together in the PDP before the governor contested and won under the APC saying that their relationship started since they were Councillors and the governor was then Chairman of Councillors Forum.
In his own reaction, the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state who has been nominated for the third term as Commissioner, Hon Dalyabu Garga was grateful for the nomination saying that he would give his best as usual, to the state.
He added that his nominations and appointments has been because of his sterling performance in office adding that he would continue to put in his best to achieve a better Plateau.
