Supplementary Elections: Sorting, Counting, Announcement Begins as Poll Ends

Poll ended by 2pm in most polling units where supplementary governorship and state House of Assembly elections held in Plateau state today.

At Anguwa Madaki Units 006, 007 and 008 in Mangu LGA, polls have ended while sorting, counting and the announcement of results have begun.

Similarly, in PU 014, Jenta Adamu ward, PU 002, Anguwa Abuja in Tudun Wada ward and Plateau Hotel Junction unit, all in Jos North LGA, sorting, counting and the announcement of results are in progress.

Reports from Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Shendam, Pankshin and Bassa LGAs where supplementary elections are also holding indicates that sorting, counting and the announcement of results are also in progress.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said that collation of the governorship results will commence by 4:30 pm today at the Commission’s state headquarters along Miango road in Jos, Plateau state capital.
