The occupants of the commercial bus were said to be travelling from Osogbo to Abuja before they were waylaid following the tip off from their accomplices who were among the passengers who claimed to have also travelled but with ulterior motives.

According to an anonymous source, the kidnappers pointed guns at the bus and ordered the passengers to come out before they were whisked away to an unknown destination.

Chief Adedeji who urged people of the state and passengers to be security conscious said all the abducted victims would be rescued without being injured.
