Breaking: Collation, Announcement of Results Resumes in Jos

Collation and announcement of results of the supplementary governorship elections held in 9 local government areas of Plateau state, today, Saturday has began.

The collation scheduled to commence by 4:30pm at the INEC governorship collation centre could not commence until 9:25pm.

At the commencement of the collation, the REC, Plateau state, Mallam Hussaini Halilu Pai gave the welcome address and presented Forms EC 8D and EC 8E to the Returning Officer.

There were also remarks from the Supervising National Electoral Commissioner, Prof Antonia Simbine and the Returning Officer, Prof Richard Anande Kimbir who explained guidelines on collation of Supplementary Governorship Election.

also at the collation centre was the REC, Gombe state who was in the state to support the state’s INEC.

They all commended all stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful supplementary elections in the state.
