Group Call For Prosecution Of Ex-owo Poly ASUP Chairman, Others For False Information

A group, under the auspices of ‘Concerned Elders Forum’ has called for the immediate prosecution of the former ASUP Chairman of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo Mr. Oluwadare Ijawoye and others who have been given false information to the anti-graft agencies about the institution.
In a release issued and made available to journalists in Akure, the state capital on Friday, the group, who condemned the action of Ijawoye and his cohorts for given false information about the institution, said they would not hesitate to take legal action on the matter.
The Chairman and the Secretary of the group, Chief Olu Arosoye and Mr. Lawrence Omotola in the statement signed respectively said, “we are calling on the anti-graft agencies in the country to make it a point of duty to arrest Oluwadare Ijawoye and his cohorts for damaging the good reputation of the institution through false information to anti graft agencies.
“If not, we will take legal action against them.
“In the recent time, we have witnessed a lots of characters assassination from Ijawoye’s group and this is highly on called for. It is on note that Ijawoye enjoys a link of one of the disengaged staff who has a close relationship with one of the officials of EFCC and therefore using the relationship to advance frivolous, misbehaviour and baseless allegations against the institution We must stop the mess”, the group said.
