Seyi Makinde Says He Is In Talks With NURTW Leaders

Oyo state Governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde says
he is engaging and meeting with the leaders and
members of the state’s chapter of the National
Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), to
sustain relative peace in the state.
In a report by The Nation, Makinde said he would
not allow the NURTW officials to bring back
violence to the state as he would dialogue with
them continuously.
He said he has sent messages to them to ensure
violence-free state.
“I have sent messages to the NURTW to avoid
violence. They don’t have my support. We want peace in Oyo and efforts are on to dialogue with them and ensure there is no resurgence of violence.”
The governor-elect also said he will ensure a better atmosphere for the people of Oyo state.
