Osun:Parliamentarian Owoade Distributes Books, Writing Materials To Students

A local Government Parliamentarian in Osun State, Comrade Ademola Owoade on Monday distributed 10,000 exercise books and other writing materials to students of both primary and secondary schools in his council.

Owoade is the leader Irewole North East Local Council Development Area of Osun state and founder of a non governmental organization, “Eniwa Development Initiative”.

Presenting the materials to indigent students of Schools for Special
Needs, Ikoyi and Molarere Elementary School, Molerere, Owoade said the presentation of the writing materials was part of his Parliamentarian projects

Owoade further explained that the gesture was to contribute to the development of primary education in the council and to support the state government’s education reform programme.

According to the leader, the decision to distribute the exercise books is born out of the passion he has for qualitative education and youth development in the area.

“The decision to distribute the exercise books is born out of the passion I have for the development of my people. And it’s part of Eni WA 3 Points Action Plan which revolve around boosting of agriculture, assistance of the less privilege the pursuit of their education and free medical health care delivery.

” I have been doing programs on health intervention for my people. I organised coaching classes in 2018 summer tagged ENI WA free holiday coaching,

” I have empowered hundreds of farmers with various farm inputs.

Other public schools selected are NUD Middle School, Sango Ikire, Ayedaade Government High School, Ikire, Elementary school, Wasinmi, the headquarter of the Irewole North East LCDA among other.

Appreciating the LCDA Leader, NUT Chairman, Irewole Local Government , Mr Babatunde Babalola popularly known as Baba Tee, said the books would go a long way in helping pupils of the less privileged, who are mostly in the public primary schools,

He commended Owoade saying that the gesture would complement government’s efforts at repositioning the education sector in the state.

He appealed to other politicians and stakeholders in the area to emulate the parliamentarian in supporting the government in its efforts at improving the standard of education in the state.

Receiving the writing materials, Principal of Ayedaade Government High School Mr Oyejide, appreciated the gesture and prayed God to continue to elevate the parliamentarian.
