Sustainable Development: Only Option Osun Has-APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state has declared that, ‘the only option Osun has is to intensify and sustain the development agenda that will rank the state amongst the best in Nigeria’.
According to the party in a statement from its Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy, signed by its Director, Kunle Oyatomi; ‘This objective should be of preeminent focus as the new cabinet and others start their engagement in the Economic Summit that takes off in Osogbo tomorrow (Tuesday)’.
According to the APC, ‘there is high expectation that the new cabinet would not disappoint pushing Osun higher on the scale of sustainable development that had been trending in the last eight years.
‘Indeed, the state expect a lot more than they have experienced, and this is due to the fact that they have confidence in the Governor, especially his business antecedents, to entrust him with governance for the current term.
‘There is reason to be optimistic that significant progress will occur if the cabinet works as a dedicated team with the Governor to deliver on the objectives of the budget just submitted to the House of Assembly for ratification,’
But beyond that, the APC urged that the participants at the Summit, ‘need to pay special attention to details of decisions that will result from submissions by resource persons on how to proceed to make a success of Governor Oyetola’s vision to sustain comprehensive economic growth in the state of Osun.
Also, the party told the new team that they should be alert and conscious of political and economic disruptors that are all over the place seeking to make government fail.
‘They have been at it since 2010 and they are not about to stand down their disruptive activities anytime soon. You have a duty to shame them.
Finally, the APC said, ‘the new cabinet should be rest assured of the party’s total support for this government, which we believe will stand out beyond all expectations, as one of the most outstanding anyone could have hoped for ‘.
