Tribute To A Big Fighter And Crusader, Alhaja Wasilat Adunni Nee Aregbesola
By Oranmiyan Group
It is already 10 years when Alhaja Wasilat Adunni Nee Aregbesola left this sinful life to meet her creator.
Alhaja Wasilat Adunni Nee Aregbeeola departed this world when she started the Aregbesola struggle to help Rauf Aregbesola become the Governor of Osun State.
It was however disheartening that she left when the struggle was at it’s peak, the fruit of the struggle she never reaped .
However, the energetic woman of valour is being remembered today, as it clocks exactly 10 years that she left the soil of the land.
We must not forget to praise her for the struggles she led during the democratic struggle to install the immediate past governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
Her moments, her bravery, doggedness, ruggedity, care and hard work to ensure Aregbesola’s victory while she was alive can not easily be forgotten.
Though she left without reaping the fruits of her political labour, she would be remembered for dying for the cause of democracy we enjoy today in Osun.
She was an active participant and party to the Oranmiyan struggle where she dedicated her life to fight and reclaim the mandate of Rauf Aregbesola as the elected governor of Osun.
Until her death, Alhaja Adunni was a “living tree” of Osun political history and stood as the rallying point of all political leanings in the state.
She will be remembered for her resourcefulness and carriage, and for being the pillar behind the great Oranmiyan
Today the Oranmiyan group, which was championed by Aregbesola, praise her courageous zeal for that democratic struggle which she did not stay around to enjoy its fruit.
