OSHA Poll: Lawyer Petitions Police Over Suspected Cultists Attack

A legal practitioner in Osun, Abolarin Abidoye has petitioned the Osun state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Ige over suspected cultist attack in Agba, Boripe Local Government and theft of N125, 000 cash and other valuables items in his car.

Abidoye alleged Jide Ayodeji and Bayo Adewumi, Dayo Alagbe, Keji Odurinde, Ojo Oyetunji, Sikiru Toyese, and Segun Oyelami who are members of a dreaded Obele Cult group to have humiliated him, mercilessly beaten his son Adetona Abidoye and charted away their belongings at gun point.

Abidoye urged the police to urgently intervene by ensuring the safety of the victims, arrest the suspect and bring them to justice.

In petition through J. A Abidoye chambers directed to the state commissioner of police, dated March 10, 2019 Abidoye said exactly 4pm on Saturday 9, after the State House of Assembly election, and on his way to Iree, the suspected cult group approached the two of them and demanded for money and on their recusal to give them money, they were led to a school premises with gun and lock the gate of the school.

He said they were helpless after sighting gun and 10 minutes later, Dare, Bayo, Jamiu and Ojo forcefully opened the door of the car and descended on Adetona Abidoye, beating him with sticks and other dangerous object and threatened to killed him with gun alleging that before he escaped, he has sustained degree of injuries and blood strain in his body.

When the second victim escaped, according to the petition, Abidoye the lawyer, was pinned down at the same sport and subjected him to humiliation and harassment.

” At this point, he handed over the N7,000 in his pocket to them which they rejected as insufficient and he promised to give them more if he could be allowed to go to his car, on hearing this, Jamiu Dare and Ojo moved to where his car was packed and when they came back they release him and treathened to kill him if he reported the case to the police”.

” On getting into the car, he discovered that the total sum of N125,000 that he kept in the car has been taking away by the suspects.

” As a minister in the temple of justice, we want to assert on good authority that the action of the above suspects as narrated is daring, condemnable, punitive and criminal in all ramifications. We hereby enlist your prompt assistance to bring the suspect to justice and ensure the safety of safety and property of the victims” the petition read.
