Breaking: Lawan Emerges Senate President
Ahmad Lawan has emerged as Senate President of the 9th National Assembly defeating his closest rival, Senator Ali Ndume.
Lawan polled 79 votes to beat Ndume who scored a paltry 28 votes. They are both from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
107 Senators who were on the roll call voted in the election.
