Breaking: Ali Ndume Arrives NASS 7:20 am
By Jide Afolabi, Jos
A major Senate Presidential hopeful, Senator Ali Ndume, has arrived the National Assembly premises ahead of the inauguration of the 9th Assembly today.
Ndume is challenging the immediate past Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan, who has been endorsed by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to clinch the position.
Ndume arrived the National Assembly lobby at exactly 7:20 am and was seen exchanging greetings with staff of the National Assembly. Ndume is the first senator-elect to arrive at the National Assembly.
Although he is an APC Senator-elect, he has, however, been endorsed by the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the position.
He represents Borno South Senatorial District in the Senate.
