2019 Polls: Oranmiyan Group To Organise Mega Rally In Osogbo Tomorrow

A sociocultural organization in Osun state, Oranmiyan group, has concluded plans to hold a major mega rally in Osogbo, state capital of Osun in support of the reelection bid of President Muhammad Buhari, his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo and all candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming elections.

The group made this known in a press statement issued by its Director General, Mr Olajide Sadiq, and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, on Monday.

Sadiq said the group in the rally, which is slated for tomorrow February 12, will showcase President Buhari concrete achievements in the last three and half years to the entire citizens of the state.

He further explained that the members of the party, party leaders, market men and women, students and all the candidates contesting on the platform of All Progressives Congress are expected to participate in the mega rally.

Sadiq noted that the team would kick start the rally with a road show which he said would kick off from Ayetoro to Igbona, from Igbona to freedom park , from Freedom park to Olaiya while the road show would be terminate at the APC party Secretariat where the party chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun will address them.

Describing President Buhari as the best candidate among the other aspirants said there is need for the group to mobilise votes for Buhari and all other APC candidates so as to take the country to the next level.

The group, led by its Director General, Olajide Sadiq, had earlier stormed Isokan, Orolu , Irewole, Osogbo, Olorunda, Iwo, Ayedire, Olaoluwa, ifelodun, Odo-Otin, Ilesa West, Ilesa East, Atakumosa West and East and Irepodun local government areas to canvas votes for the party.

He said the impressive performances of President Buhari and Osinbajo in almost four years has been the campaign strategies it has had to use to mobilise support for the President’s re-election.

Among the notable people met during door-to-door campaign are the APC party excos at the ward and local councils, youths, state coordinators, interest groups, market women, religious leaders , youths among others.

“Nigeria has been in ruins for 16 years in the hands of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which is seeking a return on this general elections.

His words, “Therefore, we are organising this campaign as group that is complementing the other initiatives of the Presidential Campaign Group that is moving across the States.

“We plan to move the train to the nooks and cranny across of the three Senatorial Districts of the state. We are resolute to work for the reelection bid of President Buhari because of his huge developmental stride achieved within almost four years of assuming office.

The group would also embark on political education and methods of voting so as to avoid void votes and protections of votes after balloting.
