Nigerian Baptist Youths Congratulates CAN President, Supo Ayokunle

Youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, has congratulated the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, His Eminence Reverend Dr Samson Supo Ayokunle on his re-election.

In a congratulatory statement signed by the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, National President, Pastor Onajite Enunuaye, he described the CAN President who also doubles as the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, as a man of God who has stoutly stood in the defence of the faith.

He said, “the re-elected President of the Christian Association of Nigeria has taken the Association to an enviable heights since he became the leader of the body and this earned him the re-election.

He described the re-election as a worthy one saying that “Ayokunle has been able to unite CAN and Christians in the country by the grace of God and he has led a selfless leadership even in the face of daunting challenges.”

He stressed that the Baptist family is proud of the good work he is doing at the CAN.

“For us as Baptist youths, we are proud of our President because of the great work the Lord is using him for in managing the affairs of Nigerian Christians.”

He extolled the ideals, values, and leadership styles that Ayokunle has brought to the CAN leadership describing him as a ‘selfless leader’.

Onajite prayed that Ayokunle and his team would succeed as the Lord continues to reveal the mystery of leadership to them.

He assured the CAN new leadership of the full support of the Nigerian Baptist youths.

Ayokunle was re-elected for the second term and inaugurated in July alongside his Vice President, Prof Joseph Otubu and other newly elected National Officers.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, comprises of five (5) blocs namely; Christian Council of Nigeria, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Organisation of African Instituted Churches and Evangelical Church of West Africa.
