The Appeal Court Judgement which uphold Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s victory is a sweet victory that has its root right from the September 22 and 27 governorship elections in the state.

The was the submission of Hon Adelani Baderinwa, Supervisor, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Osun state, in a statement he personally issued and made available to newsmen on Friday in Osogbo, the state capital.

Baderinwa said the Court of Appeal judgment had vindicated the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate , Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, as the winner of the election.

According to Baderinwa: “We do not expect anything less than the affirmation of the popular mandate given to Governor Oyetola by vast majority of the people of the state on the election day.

“The appeal court has corrected the miscarriage of Justice and bad precedence which the majority judgment of the tribunal panel wanted to lay, which was capable of misleading the judiciary and majority of credulous people.

“However, the appeal court verdict has vindicated Governor Oyetola and the All Progressive Congress as the winner of the election; and that the people can still hold onto the judiciary as the their hope to seek redress and justice.

“Like we said earlier, the majority judgment of the tribunal has no substance, nor legal validity, and could not stand the test of time, as it was strange and light in legal analysis. Because of that, Governor Gboyega Oyetola was not bordered, instead, he has been unshakenly working for the progress of the state and performing his functions as the valid Executive Governor of the state of Osun.

“We welcome the verdict of the appeal court, we commend the judges for upholding the truth, Justice and electoral victory of Governor Oyetola and the APC.

“We urge the people of the state to celebrate moderately and peacefully without provoking anybody who might be jolted by the wise judgment of the appeal court.
