Osun APC Scribe, Salinsile Hails Appeal Ruling, Says Verdict Confirmed Oyetola’s Mandate
The State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, Hon Rasaq Salinsile has saluted the gallantry decision of the court of appeal who upheld the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola at September 2018 poll.
Salinsile who spoke to newsmen in Osogbo after the judgment said the ruling has put to rest the backdoor judgment procured by the PDP and confirmed the rightful owner of the mandate.
The appeal court had set aside the judgment of Tribunal who ruled in favour of Peoples Democratic Party, described the Tribunal ruling as nullity.
On the issue of nullification of results in 17 polling units and declaration of Adeleke, the Court of Appeal resolved in the favour of the Governor Oyetola. And that the result of the election is not vitiated so issues 6 to 10 were resolved in favour of the Appellant.
While praising judiciary’s uncompromising decision, Salinsile assured good people of Osun, party faithful and supporters across the state on the readiness of APC-led administration to deliver more dividends of democracy to all and sundry.
Reiterating Governor Oyetola’s determination to put Osun on the pedestrian of greatness and prosperity, he urged the party faithful to be magnanimous in victory.
He however charged the opposition party to eschew violence and prioritise peaceful co-existence in the state as there are ways to seek redress.
