Osun Council Boss, Olokungboye Applauds Supreme Court Judgement, Congratulates Oyetola, APC

The Executive Chairman, Osogbo West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alhaja Temilade Olokungboye has join other well meaning people to congratulate Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme Court which confirmed him as the duly elected Governor of the state.
Olokungboye in a press statement she personally signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Osogbo, expressed profound gratitude to God for the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement.
The Chairman, who described the verdict that affirmed the Governor’s victory at the Sept. 2018 governorship election as a victory for all, said they they have been vindicated.
She however congratulated the immediate past Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the APC leaders and all members of the party for their victory at the apex court, saying the judgment of the court has shown to the world that truly, APC, remained the most popular party in the state and people trooped out en masse to vote for the party and its candidate during the gubernatorial poll.
She said: “The Supreme Court judgment is a victory to all residents of Osun and I commend the judiciary for its impartiality and also upholding the rule of law.
“In fact, today is my happiest day as the verdict has vindicated us as patriotic citizens of the state and I give thanks to God for making the will of the people to prevail. In fact ,this is a confirmation of the people’s mandate which was freely given to Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
“I commend most sincerely the judiciary for standing firm and resolute in delivering justice to the people of Osun state and thus deepening our democracy.
“I am very appreciative of the good people of Osun, especially Osogbo west LCDA for their perseverance and commitment to peace throughout the gubernatorial election dispute.
“ I appeal to them to maintain peace at all times and support the state government to take the state to greater heights.”
Urging the governor to see the judgment as a reaffirmation of the peoples trust in him in return for good governance, the LG Boss enjoined Oyetola to embrace the loser and work together for the development of their state.
