Temlong Promises Security, Good Governance as ADP Campaigns in Kanke, Mangu

The Action Democratic Party Governorship candidate, Brigadier General Jon Temlong (Rtd) has promised the people of Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau state adequate security and good governance if elected on Saturday.

Temlong said this during the ADP campaign in Langshi where he and his team paid homage to the district head, His Royal Highness, Ngolong Bulus Pakmeh.

Speaking through his running mate, Dr Daniel Dimulak Mwanmut said, “We are here to greet you and to seek your royal blessings. We need your support and that of your people. The Governor has gone to Bassa. We are tired of the killings in the state and we want to bring peace back to the people just as our founding father, JD Gomwalk did. We want to run a government of the people. We want to bring good governance by providing potable water, hospitals, schools and electricity.”

In his response, the Ngolong Pakmeh thanked the team. The oldest and longest serving traditional ruler in the state prayed for the success of ADP in the election and said that he hoped they would fulfil their campaign promises.

Mwanmut addressed the mammoth gathering at the LGEA Primary School, Langshi, Kanke LGA of Plateau state where he said that ADP is the only credible alternative and that women and youths would be given priority in their government.

The campaign team left for Amper District and later Kabwir District in same Kanke LGA where they visited His Royal Highness, Nde Emmanuel Jatau.

The District Head said that he knew General Temlong long ago because he was his in-law. “I wish you all the best. I assure you, I am strongly behind you. Kindly deliver my message to General Temlong”. He said.

At Jurbe Hotel in Amper where the people gathered to listen to the team, the campaign Director General who fluently spoke the local dialect said, “These people have gathered because of the love of the party. They have been here since 10am. They aren’t tired, they are waiting to here from you. I will give you opportunity to greet your people.”

While speaking, Mwanmut said he was grateful for their patience since morning. “We are here because of our people. Our people are tired of empty and unfulfilled promises. We will change the narrative of killings in Plateau state.

“We will provide security, sustainable peace and develop the tourism. We will run government of the people. Vote ADP for job creation.” He stated.

At Kabwir district where Mwanmut addressed the crowd, he said, “if you give us your vote on Saturday, we will not renege on our promises. We will provide credible leadership.” He concluded.

ADP campaign train was received at Pilot Science Nursery and Primary School, Mangu, Mangu LGA of Plateau state by a mammoth, jubilant crowd who have stayed all day to receive the team.

The deputy gubernatorial candidate, Dr Mwanmut thanked the crowd for their patience and their resilience to see a new dawn in Plateau state.

He promised that if elected into office, their government would provide security and sustainable peace, development and basic social amenities.

The campaign team later visited the Miskagam Mwaghavul, Day Nelson Barfur at Kerang in Mangu LGA where the governorship candidate, Brigadier General Jon Temlong and his team had a meeting with the paramount ruler.
