A Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the remand of a 35-year-old laundry worker, Kingsley Akoka, who is facing trial for allegedly stealing two bags of customers’clothes.
The Magistrate, Mr T. A. Anjorin-Ajose, ordered the remand of the defendant in Ikoyi prison after he pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing.

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, ASP Fidelis Dike, told the court that Akoka committed the offence on Jan. 7 at Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, Lagos.
He said that Akoka stole two bags of customers’ clothes, an industrial pressing iron and a generator battery, all valued at N680,000, from his employer, Double Bubble Dry Cleaners.
Dike said that the defendant, who absconded with the stolen items, was later caught and arrested.
