Supreme Court Ruling: Deputy Chief Whip, Ogunkanmi Congratulates Oyetola, APC

The Osun State Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Gbenga Abidemi Ogunkanmi, has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola over the victory at the Supreme Court.

Hon Ogunkanmi Representing Ayedire State Constituency, while speaking to newsmen thanked the Justices of the apex Court for ensuring that justice prevailed in-spite of the bad politics played by the opposition.

He commended the Supreme Court panel with the majority judgment (5 to 2) which confirmed the victory of Gboyega Oyetola as the duly elected governor of the state of Osun.

He Appealed to party supporters and loyalists to celebrate with moderation and extend olive branch with to their colleagues in the opposition for peace to reign in the state.

However, he commended various groups, across the state who stood with the party praying for its success during the course of preserving the mandate freely given to the party by the good people of Osun.

According to him, “We believe it is time to move on and concentrate efforts on the transformation work that started in 2010 which the people have mandated Gov. Gboyega Oyetola to continue and improve upon.”

The Supreme Court earlier today dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke for lack of merit.
