Plateau ADP Congratulates Lalong, Advised Him to Settle Down for Governance

The Action Democratic Party, ADP, Plateau State chapter has congratulated Governor Simon Bako Lalong on his victory at the governorship election petition tribunal yesterday.

The party advised the governor to settle down for governance saying that the infrastructures, healthcare, and education in the state need urgent attention.

The party in a press statement issued on Thursday in Jos by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Danjuma Dickson Auta on behalf of its State Chairman, Mr Gideon Adamu, said that the party has no issue with the tribunal judgment delivered on Wednesday since the party has no petition before the tribunal saying that it does not, however, want to undermine the efforts of those who took their case to the tribunal.

In the press statement sent to CityMirrorNews, the party said that it is more determined than ever before to serve as the third eye in making sure nothing but the best in governance is giving to the peace and good people of Plateau state.

The statement read:
“Our city and urban roads need urgent attention, this is apart from the security challenges that have continued to bedevil the state by resurfacing almost on a daily basis. The need for true reconciliations among the good people of the state.
The government should also intensify efforts in resettling displaced citizens of the state and provide adequate security for them.

“ADP is also calling on the government to work hard in the area of education by making sure that our schools in the state are made comfortable for learning and ensure adequate provision of the school materials to all institutions of learning, ADP in Plateau state is also calling on the government to quickly look into addressing all the lapses in the healthcare sector.

“We want to assure citizens that our great party will not compromise for anything in ensuring that Plateau is considered first by the present administration and urged every party loyalist to remain calm as we all join hands in making our state the envy of all.”

ADP called on the governor of the State, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong to fulfill his promises of the all-inclusive government to take the state to a greater height.
