Ondo 2020: I didn’t Create Any WhatsApp Group For ‘Agboola Ajayi Governorship Bid’–Adeomo

The Former Special Assistant to Ilaje Local Government Area Chairman of Ondo state, Mr. Omobone Babatunde Adeomo, has disowned any purported WhatsApp group created by him in order to promote what he described as, ‘fake governorship ambition of the Ondo state Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi come 2020 governorship election.
Adeomo who was also a former SA to OSOPADEC chairman in a statement signed personally on Tuesday and made available to journalists in Akure described the tagged group WhatsApp, ‘Agboola Ajayi for Sure 2020’ as fake one.
The statement reads, “My attention has been drawn to a WhatsApp group tagged ‘Agboola Ajayi for Sure 2020’ purportedly created by me to promote the usual fake governorship bid in 2020 of the Deputy Governor of Ondo State; Hon Agboola Ajayi.
“I want to say that I did not form any group or set up any WhatsApp platform to champion the rumoured governorship bid of Hon Agboola Ajayi.
“I did not have the facility or capacity to form any group to push the fake governorship bid of the Deputy Governor.
“Hon. Agboola Ajayi who is my political leader has never directed and did not discuss with me or any of his followers that he is running for the 2020 governorship election.
“I hereby disown any WhatsApp group that is purported to be created by me or any supporter of Hon Agboola Ajayi to champion the disaffection agenda.
“I know those people who are mainly from Ilaje and Ese-odo area of Ondo State using my hacked number to perpetrate disharmony between the camp of the APC and have reported them to the law enforcement agencies.
“Let me say that I know that the people who created this group on my behalf knows my closeness with Hon Agboola Ajayi and want to use me and my hacked number to create disaffection between the loyal deputy and his boss; Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN”.
